SAPNAC has launched a groundbreaking Youth Engagement Program in Malawi aimed at nurturing a new generation of civic-minded, anti-corruption ambassadors. The initiative, which will roll out in other member countries in phases, seeks to raise awareness among young people about the consequences of corruption and their role in promoting good governance.

The program kicked off with high school and university workshops in Lilongwe and Blantyre, featuring guest lectures from parliamentarians and civic educators. SAPNAC also partnered with local radio stations to host debates and interviews with youth leaders, allowing them to express their views on accountability and integrity.

“By investing in youth, we are investing in a future where transparency is the norm, not the exception,” said Hon. Dr. Albert Mbawala, SAPNAC board member from Malawi.

SAPNAC plans to expand the initiative to include anti-corruption clubs in schools, internships in legislative offices, and interschool essay competitions centered on ethics and governance.
